About Triad Moms On Main
Triad Moms on Main has been the Triad’s go-to parenting resource since October 2010 — built on one simple idea: local moms helping local families live their best life in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, and everywhere in between.
What started as an idea scribbled on a Chick-fil-A napkin by co-founders Rachel Hoeing and Katie Moosbrugger has grown into one of North Carolina’s most trusted family resources, with tens of thousands of readers, a weekly newsletter, a podcast, and a team of 20 incredible women who genuinely love this community.
We are bloggers, educators, photographers, real estate agents, fitness instructors, writers, sales reps, and — most importantly — moms and dads raising our families right here in the Triad. Every restaurant we recommend, every park we highlight, every hidden gem we share — we’ve been there ourselves.
This page is where you get to know us. Not just our credentials — but our favorite coffee orders, the outdoor spots we escape to, the restaurants we take out-of-town guests, and the things that make us love living in the Triad.

My husband Josh and I have known each other since we were 12 and have been married for nearly nine years. We graduated from the same college, where I received my bachelors degree in Communication, Public Relations. We moved from Pennsylvania to Greensboro in 2015 and were only supposed to be here for two years. Within nine months we bought our first home because we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. We have three boys and a goldendoodle who all love exploring Greensboro and the surrounding areas with us.

Ellen Bryant Lloyd

Ellen grew up in Wilmington, NC but found her way to Greensboro where she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She loved the Triad so much, she decided to stay after graduating and launched her career at the News & Record where she worked in advertising, sales and marketing. After six years, she shifted gears to pursue her passion: writing. Ellen discovered this passion in the third grade when she was given a school assignment to write a story, illustrate it and then bind it into a book. This experience gave her a feeling of pure joy and an inkling that she was called to be a writer. Almost two decades later, she embraced her writing and has since published two children’s books and written hundreds of articles, lifestyle features and blog posts. She also ghostwrites memoirs and is close to finishing several fiction projects. Ellen loves being a blogger for TMOM with her columns, “Ellen’s Book Nook,” and “A Mindful Mom.” She and her husband, Lee, live in Greensboro and have a son who has flown from the nest and a daughter who is not far from it. They also have the sweetest dog ever, Lexi, who eagerly welcomes visits from her two-legged siblings, as do her two-legged parents.

Where It All Started

FOUNDERS SECTION
Rachel Hoeing & Katie Moosbrugger, Original Co-Founders
In 2010, two local moms sat down at a Chick-fil-A and scribbled an idea on a napkin: a place where Triad moms could find real, reliable, local information to help them navigate life with kids in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the surrounding communities. That idea became Triad Moms on Main.
Rachel brought a background in elementary education. Katie brought experience in PR and communications. Together they built something that grew far beyond what either imagined — tens of thousands of readers, a weekly newsletter, a podcast, annual Choice Awards, and a community that Triad families genuinely count on.
After raising their own children while running the site for over a decade, Rachel and Katie recognized the time had come to pass the torch. The TMoM team has expanded to 20 incredible women, each bringing their own expertise, personality, and love for this community. We are so grateful for what Rachel and Katie built — and we’re committed to building on it every single day.
