She also worked in public relations with a local music production company. Mixed in all of this, she would write for different local sites and publications, including TMoM. Now she is a wife to an amazing, supportive man and a mom of three wild and free kiddos. She homeschools, loves all things nature and the outdoors, writing and a good cup of coffee. It was an absolute blast and she loved being able to see all the happy, smiling faces. In 2021, she decided to branch out from freelance writing to full-time writing and helps small businesses and mompreneurs with their content marketing. Dennette is a mom of 3, owner of Bailey Preschool, and an author and speaker on child and family issues. Laura Simon

Blogger & IG Manager

Laura moved to the Triad from Cincinnati in 2016, and she hopes to never experience another midwestern winter. A middle and high school English teacher for 14 years, she now works from home for an e-learning company and homeschools her three kids: Eli (12), Caleb (10) and Violet (7). Her rescue dogs, Jack and Winston, are also at home during school hours, but they don’t seem to be making any educational progress. When she’s not driving her kids to swim team, piano, guitar, and playdates or volunteering at her beloved church, Laura loves to travel with her kids, try new food, and read. She has a faint memory of loving to sleep in, but she’s long since forgotten how to do it. Fortunately, she’s also passionate about good local coffee (black, with honey) and quality eye cream.

Anna Keller

Sales Rep & Blogger

Anna and her husband, Kevin, moved to Winston-Salem from Atlanta more than 12 years ago for what they thought would be a two-year stint (he went to business school at Wake Forest), and they’re thrilled they never left. They love the strong, close-knit community here, and find it to be the perfect place to raise their first grader, Maggie, and her preschool-aged brother, Vance. In addition to blogging and ad sales for TMoM and doing other freelance writing, Anna has her own blog, curiouser & curiouser, where she writes about topics ranging from health and wellness to pregnancy and parenting to fashion and baking — and lots more! She’s also a Pure Barre teacher and a Beautycounter brand advocate who loves spending time with her family, catching up with friends over coffee or a walk, reading, and organizing the refrigerator — especially on days when everything else seems out of control (it’s so very cathartic!).

Sydney Richardson

Blogger

Sydney Richardson is an educator, writer, and coffee-lover. Born in New Jersey and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina she often played “school” with her sister. It’s no surprise that they both went into education. A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (B.A. and PhD) and North Carolina A&T State University (M.A.), Sydney has spent the last sixteen years in higher education, working in faculty and administrative roles. Her writing often focuses on topics related to education, leadership, and work/family balance. She has her own blog, Rokleader, and gives workshops on areas of women in leadership. When she’s not working, Sydney can be found perfecting her coffee brewing, trying out new recipes on her family, or painting a new room in her house. She and her husband, Herbert, are proud parents to two children and hound/boxer mix pup.

ellenEllen Bryant Lloyd

Blogger

Ellen grew up in Wilmington, NC but found her way to Greensboro where she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She loved the Triad so much, she decided to stay after graduating and launched her career at the News & Record where she worked in advertising, sales and marketing. After six years, she shifted gears to pursue her passion: writing. Ellen discovered this passion in the third grade when she was given a school assignment to write a story, illustrate it and then bind it into a book. This experience gave her a feeling of pure joy and an inkling that she was called to be a writer. Almost two decades later, she embraced her writing and has since published two children’s books and written hundreds of articles, lifestyle features and blog posts. She also ghostwrites memoirs and is close to finishing several fiction projects. Ellen loves being a blogger for TMOM with her columns, “Ellen’s Book Nook,” and “A Mindful Mom.” She and her husband, Lee, live in Greensboro and have a son who has flown from the nest and a daughter who is not far from it. They also have the sweetest dog ever, Lexi, who eagerly welcomes visits from her two-legged siblings, as do her two-legged parents.

We moved from Pennsylvania to Greensboro in 2015 and were only supposed to be here for two years. Within nine months we bought our first home because we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Jennifer Joyner

Jennifer Joyner

Sales Rep

Jennifer was born and raised in Kannapolis, NC but has been living in the Triad area since she married her husband in 2016. Together they have one beautiful daughter named Evie. Jennifer has spent many years in the retail industry. What started as just a high school part time job at the mall, turned into a career. She developed a passion for merchandising and grew into leadership roles. Most recently worked as an Assistant Manager for a women’s boutique at the Friendly Center. After having her daughter in 2019 she went in search for a job that would be more flexible for her as a mom. She landed a position as a representative in the childcare department at the YMCA. It has truly been a blessing for her and her family. Jennifer didn’t realize just how much she would enjoy working with the children, watching them grow and learn, planning fun events and crafting with them! The benefits for her and her daughter have been wonderful. Another perk is that she has been able to connect with other mothers in the process. Building friendships, sharing stories, advice and learning about all the
resources that are out there (such as TMoM) that she would have never known about if
she hadn’t been given this opportunity. Jennifer would like to continue to support
Mothers who are looking for resources and connections. When Jennifer isn’t working,
she likes to read, go shopping with her two sisters and take Zumba classes!

Original Co-Founders

Rachel Hoeing & Katie Moosbrugger

What started as an idea scribbled on a Chick-fil-A napkin soon became a reality 12 years ago this month. Rachel and Katie developed Triad Moms on Main with the sole purpose of creating an inclusive online community of Triad moms and dads. Today that community includes tens of thousands of readers who log on to the site each and every day, subscribe to TMoM’s newsletter, and follow the site on social media.

With Rachel’s background in elementary education and Katie’s background in PR, the partnership was the perfect blend of knowledge and experience to grow Triad Moms on Main into the area’s premier resource for parents. The two have lived in the Triad with their respective families for over 18 years and have raised their children while running the site. Now that they each have grown children, Rachel and Katie recognized the need to pass the torch. The founders will remain owners of the website, but are thrilled to watch TMoM continue to grow and evolve under new leadership. The Triad Moms on Main team has expanded to a group of 20 incredible women, and we all cannot wait to see what the future holds.
