All About Redeemer School
Redeemer School is a private Christian school for TK – 8th grades, utilizing the hands-on, childhood-honoring educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason.
Mission: Redeemer School is a community of like-minded families committed to nurturing students in their relationship with Jesus Christ and engaging them in the life-long pursuit of wisdom and knowledge as they discover, embrace and integrate God’s truth in all of life.
Philosophy of Education and Distinctives: The life and work of 19th century British educator, Charlotte Mason, provides Redeemer School with a foundation for viewing education as a lifelong learning process and honoring the developing child. A few of the school’s distinctive practices include half-day classes in TK – 2nd grade, a literature-based curriculum, narration (or telling back), picture study, composer study, and nature study, and frequent field trips to broaden perspectives and make real-life connections to classroom learning.
Let K&W Cafeteria Do the Cooking this Thanksgiving
Spend more time at the table this Thanksgiving, not in the kitchen, by letting K&W Cafeterias do the cooking. K&W is an award-winning, family owned and operated restaurant that has been making all of their food from scratch since 1937. You can dine-in with their Thanksgiving Special for just $7.99, or serve K&W at home. For your home, there are two Thanksgiving Feast options that either serve a group of 6, or a crowd of 20. If you want a home cooked meal this holiday without the stress, serve K&W for a meal everyone will love.
Don’t forget to also grab a few pies from their Bake Shop while you’re there. Their pumpkin pie is made from locally sourced pumpkins – it doesn’t get fresher than that!
Call or visit your nearest K&W to order. Visit www.kwcafeterias.biz/feastgather for pricing and more information on their Thanksgiving Feasts.
Dust Mite Allergies
Year round symptoms due to dust mites are experienced by millions of people. Dust mite allergens can be found throughout your house but most often live in warm, humid environments. These allergens can trigger a variety of symptoms including nasal, ocular, pulmonary, and skin inflammation. If dust mite or other indoor allergies are suspected, patients should consult a board certified allergist for further evaluation. Testing for dust mite allergies typically includes either a skin prick test or blood test (ImmunoCAP IgE).
Treatment for dust mite allergies includes reducing exposure to the allergen, pharmacotherapy, and immunotherapy. Allergy Partners has teamed with Allergy Guardian, to provide dust mite fabric covers for pillows, mattresses, and box springs. Allergy immunotherapy is the most effective long term treatment for dust mite allergies available. Effective treatment with allergen specific immunotherapy has been shown to decrease the progression of respiratory allergic diseases and even prevent the development of asthma in children.
