Every Student Excels at St. Leo Catholic School

Parents ask ”what type of student excels at St. Leo Catholic School?” The answer? Every student.

Every student shows up on the first day of school with God given talents which are cultivated so that they take root and grow stronger. Students also have areas to be developed so that they, too, take root. St. Leo sees the whole child, not just a test score or an end of year grade. Each student is nurtured so that they bloom not only at St. Leo Catholic School but in high school, college and beyond.

St. Leo offers a strong academic curriculum as well as rich arts and athletic programs. Students are encouraged to express themselves creatively and to be good sports. A focus on service to others throughout their time at St. Leo fosters empathy throughout their lives.

If you are looking for a school that gives your child solid roots to grow and wings to fly successfully throughout life’s adventures, schedule a tour today or view their video to see a day in the life of a St. Leo student.

A Wonderful Gift from Polliwogs

How did you spend Snowmageddon 2018?
Sipping hot cocoa?
Cuddling with your family?
Did you wait tables with your little one strapped to your chest?
Tate Edwards did… And the story went viral!

During the epic December snowstorm, Tate Edwards and her boyfriend, Patrick Roby, braved the elements with their 8 month old baby girl, Eleanor, and kept the doors of McCoul’s Pub in downtown Greensboro open. With city-wide power outages and terrible road conditions the family knew that keeping McCoul’s open would be a blessing for the citizens of downtown Greensboro. In order to make this happen, little Eleanor would have to go to work too! Thankfully Eleanor, along with her mom and dad, kept downtown Greensboro happy, warm and fed.

Last month, the viral story was picked up by The Rachael Ray Show. Wanting to reward this amazing family for their commitment to the citizens of Greensboro, the producers of the show reached out to Polliwogs Children’s Boutique asking what they could do to help say thank you. On Friday, January 31, The Rachael Ray Show featured Tate, Patrick and Eleanor and presented this adorable family with a $5,000 gift card to Polliwogs Children’s Boutique. Thank you little Eleanor… Polliwogs can’t wait to watch you grow up and look forward to dressing your entire childhood!
