We hope this list of “mom groups” can help you easily meet other women (and usually children) with whom you can build friendships and support. We have listed meet-up groups that include both the mom and child, and also groups that focus on the mom but may still include children at the meetings. : MOPS is a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten.MOPS is committed to meeting the needs of mothers by: promoting spiritual growth; developing a sense of commitment to family, other women, church and community; creating an atmosphere of encouragement and acceptance; and providing opportunities for the improvement of leadership skills contributing to a sense of self-worth and confidence. There is a registration fee of $31.95 due at the time you sign up, which goes to MOPS International. There are also semester dues of $25 which should be paid at the first meeting. : A local & in-person branch of the www.thrivemoms.com online community, Thrive Local groups meet every other week in a laid back and comfortable way that fits each specific group. Some groups may be small and intimate and some may be large and loud. We all come together with one purpose: to draw closer to the heart of Christ in community with one another.  A place to let your guard down, come together and support one another. Description of Group: MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a program designed to encourage mothers with children under school age (age 5, or until they start kindergarten) and expectant mothers through relationships and resources. Our MOPS program also includes MOPPETS, a loving, learning experience for children.Each meeting begins with a craft, followed by food, an ice-breaker, announcements, and a speaker. Your first meeting is free. The cost for each additional meeting you attend is $5 to cover various expenses. MOPS International annual dues are $23.95, which are paid directly to them. MOPS meets on the second Thursday of each month (Sept. – May) from 9:00-11:45 AM. Free childcare is provided.
