Katie moved to the Triad nearly 17 years ago (en route from Charlotte,en route from Ohio University, en route from a childhood in New Jersey), and she and her husband, Charlie, say every day how lucky they are to have landed here. Launching this web site was a natural next step for Katie after introducing and co-managing a popular mom/parenting blog in the Triad for two years. Prior to that, she worked as a freelance writer and project manager part-time while raising her daughter, Emily, and son, Henry. And before her life as a stay-at-home mom, she was busy building a career in the fast-paced world of both agency and corporate public relations. In her position as co-founder of Triad Moms On Main, you still find Katie blogging as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the site along with Rachel.

Rachel and her husband Kevin have lived in the Triad for 18 years. They have two teenagers, Jake and Anna, and a Havanese dog named Ziggy. Rachel is an Appalachian State graduate who taught Elementary School in the Mecklenburg and Forsyth County school systems for eight years. It wasn’t long before having children that she added website owner/operator to her repertoire. She has thoroughly enjoyed running Triad Moms on Main alongside Katie since 2010 and feels a sense of accomplishment in helping other moms navigate the roads of parenthood. She loves showing families all there is to do, see, and experience in the Triad area through all of the resources on TMoM. She also has a second career as a travel agent specializing in Disney destinations and has so much joy in helping families plan vacations of a lifetime.

Dani is a third-generation native of Greensboro. She received her B.A. from University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols!), and moved to New York City to receive her Masters in Education. After meeting her husband, Ryan, they moved to Greensboro in 2006. Dani is currently teaching Kindergarten Hebrew and Judaic Studies part time, but her best (and toughest job) has been staying at home with their three children, Shaina, Mira, and Ari. She enjoys volunteering in the community, hosting playdates, cooking, and keeping up with friends on social media.

After moving from New Jersey 25 years ago, Melissa has lived most of her life in and around Greensboro. Melissa graduated from UNCC with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She had a few different positions after college, but never found that “dream job.” Her most rewarding and challenging job has been staying home with her three girls – Kamdyn (6), Paige (3) and Reese (3). While staying home with her children, Melissa has been an active volunteer with Family Support Network of Central Carolina as well as Kamdyn’s school and church. Melissa has utilized the Triad Moms on Main website for years and is thrilled to be the newest member of our team!

She earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg University and has worked in various healthcare positions since 2013. She is currently a stay-at-home-mom since the birth of her son George in May of 2019. Suzy was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC and is now raising her 15-year-old daughter here. She and her daughter started the homeschool journey in 2018 and love it. She received her B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Coker College in SC and her M.A. in Communication Studies from UNC-Greensboro. After working in marketing since 2007, she tried a change of pace in 2019 when she became the G.M. at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park in Winston-Salem. It was an absolute blast and she loved being able to see all the happy, smiling faces. In 2021, she decided to branch out from freelance writing to full-time writing and helps small businesses and mompreneurs with their content marketing. She is also writing her first book! When not writing, she loves spending time with her daughter and husband! Additionally, Suzy and her husband are expecting a baby girl in June 2022! She blogged and was a sales rep for TMoM in the past and is thrilled to be a part of the sales team once again!

Lauren grew up in Summerfield, NC. After moving away for a few years to attend college at UNC-Chapel Hill and live in Raleigh, she found her way back to the area. Lauren was lucky enough to fall in love with an avid Tar Heel fan. They spend many weekends watching their Tar Heels play or watching their two littles, Lucas and Emerson, participate in sports and dance. When not spending time with her family, she is likely to be found with some power tools and paint (either creating something or fixing something she tried to make) or having a glass of wine with good friends.
Dennette is a mom of three, an aspiring author, and a teacher. A graduate of Winston Salem State University, the University of North Carolina Greensboro and Piedmont International University, she loves learning and teaching. Having spirited conversations about politics, religion and education with her spouse (who is also an educator) keeps her grounded, but going to church, planning family vacations and hosting parties keep her enthusiastic. Dennette has submitted guest blogs to TMoM since 2015 and joined the TMoM team as a regular blogger in 2018.

Laura moved to the Triad from Cincinnati in 2016, and she hopes to never experience another midwestern winter. A middle and high school English teacher for 14 years, she now works from home for an e-learning company and homeschools her three kids: Eli (12), Caleb (10) and Violet (7). Her rescue dogs, Jack and Winston, are also at home during school hours, but they don’t seem to be making any educational progress. When she’s not driving her kids to swim team, piano, guitar, and playdates or volunteering at her beloved church, Laura loves to travel with her kids, try new food, and read. She has a faint memory of loving to sleep in, but she’s long since forgotten how to do it. Fortunately, she’s also passionate about good local coffee (black, with honey) and quality eye cream.
Anna and her husband, Kevin, moved to Winston-Salem from Atlanta more than 10 years ago for what they thought would be a two-year stint (he went to business school at Wake Forest), and they’re thrilled they never left. They love the strong, close-knit community here, and find it to be the perfect place to raise their preschooler, Maggie, and her baby brother, Vance. In addition to blogging for TMoM and doing other freelance writing, Anna has her own blog, curiouser & curiouser, where she writes about topics ranging from health and wellness to pregnancy and parenting to fashion and baking — and lots more! She’s also a Pure Barre teacher and a Beautycounter consultant who loves spending time with her family, catching up with friends over lunch, reading (though time for that is rare these days!), and organizing the refrigerator — especially on days when everything else seems out of control (it’s so very cathartic!).
Sydney Richardson is an educator, writer, and coffee-lover. Born in New Jersey and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina she often played “school” with her sister. It’s no surprise that they both went into education. A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (B.A. and PhD) and North Carolina A&T State University (M.A.), Sydney has spent the last sixteen years in higher education, working in faculty and administrative roles. Her writing often focuses on topics related to education, leadership, and work/family balance. She has her own blog, Rokleader, and gives workshops on areas of women in leadership. When she’s not working, Sydney can be found perfecting her coffee brewing, trying out new recipes on her family, or painting a new room in her house. She and her husband, Herbert, are proud parents to two children and hound/boxer mix pup.

Kelly Hines is a preschool teacher, freelance writer, part time student, and mom of three above average children. She has lived most of her life in and around Winston-Salem, and loves calling the Triad home. Kelly loves to overcommit, volunteer for things she’ll later regret, cook, sit on her porch and drink, hang out with her husband, and watch soccer. She has strong opinions, especially about things she doesn’t know all that much about. She’ll eat just about anything except green olives, which are disgusting. Her motto is, “Eh, I’ll wing it.”
Ashley Quinn Kibby
Ashley Quinn is writer, astrologer, and mother of twin toddlers who delights in the process of insight through curiosity. Her fifteen-year career in research and consumer strategy took her from Baltimore, Maryland to Portland, Oregon. Shortly after her twins’ birth, Ashley and her family relocated to Whitsett to be closer to family. In addition to being a full-time mom, Ashley now focuses her time on creative writing, including a women’s fiction novel and children’s book series.
JamillahNeeairah Nasir (Mama J) is a writer, a retired birth worker, and the mother to four grown children. She’s the owner of Woman’s Work Consulting Group and Sweet Mama Jai’s Kitchen—A local specialty catering outfit. She writes about tourism and travel, food and nutrition, aging, the joys of menopause, and the dangerous terrain known as parenting adult children. She hopes to fulfill her dream of hoboing across the country while her ankles are still strong. She is also a founding member of the Greensboro Kwanzaa Collective, a cultural education organization in Greensboro, North Carolina. You can follow her latest and future shenanigans on Facebook & Twitter @RealWomansWork.

She and her husband, Ricky are the proud parents of triplets, Abby, Andrew, and Adam, who are in college.
