Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Crafts, Science & Story time
Beginning in mid-September, MBCM will offer engaging educational activities in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. These family-friendly events include:
- Crafting colorful Mexican mirrors
- Creating sunset art using toy cars
- Learning about famous Hispanic scientists
- Hands-on plant identification and paper plane testing
Through crafts, science experiments, and story time, children will explore Hispanic culture in a fun and meaningful way. And the best part? All this programming is included with Museum admission—no extra fees!
Spooky Season Kicks Off in October
By mid-October, the focus turns to Halloween fun! MBCM invites you to enjoy The Magic of Make Believe, a spooky-themed lineup of crafts, games, and activities that’ll get everyone excited for trick-or-treating. Families can take part in on-site events and even take home a themed craft to continue the fun.
Don’t Miss the Trick-or-Treat Bash on October 30
Mark your calendars for Monday, October 30, 2023 when the Museum will host its annual Trick-or-Treat Bash! This fun-filled morning event lets kids explore the Museum’s exhibits while collecting candy and small toys along the way. Enjoy:
- Spooky crafts and haunted treats
- Ghostly games for all ages
- Costume fun for the whole family
Come dressed as your favorite superhero, princess, or mythical creature—everyone is encouraged to wear a costume! Tickets for the event must be purchased in advance, so be sure to follow MBCM on Facebook and Instagram in early October for the ticket link.
Free Family Fun at Greensboro Pride’s KidZone
Looking for free fall events in Greensboro? Don’t miss MBCM at Greensboro Pride’s KidZone on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 11 AM to 6 PM. This free community event features:
- Kindness rock painting
- Rainbow-themed collaborative art
- Temporary tattoos and photo ops
- Bubbles, chalk, hula hoops & more
The KidZone will be located on South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro, alongside the Greensboro History Museum and Reconsidered Goods. It’s the perfect way to kick off fall with the whole family while enjoying the vibrant Greensboro Pride Festival.
