Most are open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, these local spots are perfect for a family day of water play. Be sure to double-check opening dates and hours before visiting, as some may vary due to weather or maintenance.

Whether you’re searching for free splash pads, outdoor water slides, or affordable places to take the kids this summer, this guide has you covered. Many of the listed parks are completely free, while others may charge a small admission fee or require payment for large groups. Each location includes a direct link to its website for more details, including hours, fees, and amenities.

We’ve organized the list by Triad cities—including Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and nearby towns—so you can easily find a splash pad or water park near you. We’ve also included popular water parks that are a short drive away for weekend adventures or mini staycations.

Description: The Vortex Splashpad is the largest (7,350 sf.) in North Carolina. The Nature Splashpad Theme was decided by Davie County Residents in a design charrette meeting which includes LED lights for night time play. They have 3 quadrants designated for different age groups. The area includes 2 shaded picnic areas and 20+ lounge chairs. The Splash Pad operates on a recirculating water system that focuses on water conservation. The admission fee is $2.00 per person. Pre-registration is required.
