The holidays are a wonderful time to show that special person in your life you are thinking of them by sharing experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Sometimes children are the focus, but it is important to remember that time spent with our significant others during the holidays can really be the tank filler that gets us through the year.

Date night locations can be as simple or extravagant as we choose, but we must choose, so here are Holiday Date Night ideas that you may want to consider as perfect first time or revisits to get that holiday feeling.

1. Vienna Light Orchestra– this is a Christmas concert featuring over 2000 flickering candles illuminating the performers. Get tickets for this one-day-only concert on December 23, 2024. It is located at RJ Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem.
2. Biltmore– Christmas at Biltmore offers a “one-of-a-kind holiday oasis.” If you are looking for the ambiance of a holiday Hallmark movie experience, you must visit between November 2, 2024, and January 5, 2025. It is located at One Lodge Street Ashville, NC 28803.
3. Tanglewood Festival of Lights– A 1.3-mile walk or drive-through Christmas light displays complete with food trucks and activities. Show dates are November 15,2024-January 1, 2025, 6 pm-11 pm. It is located at 4061 Clemmons Rd Clemmons 27012.
4. Christmas Town USA  -visit a real Christmas town complete with a Christmas light display, tree lighting ceremony, parade, shopping, and more. Visit December 2-26,2024 located just west of Charlotte at 22 Wesleyan Dr. In McAdenville NC 28101.
5. Salem Creek Shopping– If you know your date just loves to shop all things holiday you must try this boutique. It is sure to give romantic holiday shopping vibes. It is located at 694 Hanes Mall Blvd WS 27103. 
6. High Point Tree Lighting & Fireworks Show– View the lighting of the largest Christmas tree in the Piedmont with a beautiful fireworks show. It will take place on November 23, 2024, from 3-7 pm. Located at Truist Point 301 N. Elm St 27260.
7. GSO Festival of Lights – Complete with a tree lighting, Santa, carolers, and performers, this festival occurs December 6, 2024, 530-9 pm in Greensboro at 532 South Elm Street. 
8. Christmas Tree Lighting with Santa– this is a family-friendly event if you decide a family date is more convenient. There are crafts a Santa and lots of holiday activities. The date is December 6, 2024, from 7-9 pm. It is located at Shallowford Square, 6555 Shallowford Rd Lewisville NC 27023.
9. Ice Skating Downtown Greensboro– This is a Winterfest-themed ice-skating event perfect for that picturesque date night. It is sponsored by the Skyla Piedmont Winterfest which operates from November 15, 2024, to January 26, 2025. It is located at LeBauer Park along North Davie Street where the splash pad is during the summer months. 
10. Little Brother Brewing– is hosting a festive pop-up holiday bar. Entry is free! Reservations are required. It is located at 248 S. Elm St Greensboro 27401.
11. Greensboro Science Center – is hosting Winter Wonder lights, a light show, a carousel, a glow zone, an animated tunnel, and more! It takes place November 20, 2024 -January 5, 2025. It is located at 4301 Lawndale Dr. Greensboro 27455.
12. Dome Sweet Home– located in downtown Highpoint, it provides a “cozy communal space.” It is great for having a romantic picnic with views of the downtown social district. Still pending if it will happen this year. Stay tuned!
13. Craft Draft Crawl -is an experience located in WS in which you can have access to a list of craft breweries all within walking distance or a short drive from each other.
14. Old Salem Museum and Gardens– has an extensive holiday experience with various holiday tours, holiday markets, Christmas festivities, live music, a parade, and hands-on activities. The programming runs from November 13 to December 28, 2024, located at 900 Old Salem RD WS 27101

These are great date night locations because you can customize the date to your budget. Plan if you will need flowers and a simple cup of hot chocolate or coffee with lots of- I love you notes- for a perfect and memorable date night. Do not forget the blanket and or hand warmers! Your date will really feel that you thought the experience through with this little addition.
