Take the Magic Home: Butterfly Castles & Unique Gift Baskets

The experience doesn’t have to end when you leave the farm. From April through October, you can also enjoy plant sales featuring native, pollinator-supporting perennials — even during July and August, when the farm is closed to the public. These are perfect for sprucing up your yard while supporting butterfly and bee habitats.

All-A-Flutter offers take-home butterfly castles (aka life cycle kits) that let kids watch a caterpillar transform into a butterfly right from their own house. These kits include a live caterpillar, a pop-up butterfly habitat (also called a butterfly castle), and easy instructions for care and release. It’s the perfect hands-on activity for spring and summer and a great way to keep the learning going.

During Easter season and other holidays, the farm also creates beautiful “Easter baskets” and gift baskets featuring live butterflies, fresh flowers, and themed accessories. All enclosed in a butterfly net for a whimsical presentation. These unique gifts are popular for birthdays, nature-loving kids, and science-loving classrooms.

You can browse and purchase these items online, but they are pickup only. They’re educational, exciting, and one-of-a-kind — just like the All-A-Flutter experience itself.

Don’t leave without browsing the farm’s perennial nursery, which features pollinator-friendly plants cultivated with care. Each plant is selected not just for its beauty, but for its value to pollinators — so you can help support monarchs and bees right in your own backyard.

Whether you’re a parent planning your next weekend outing, an educator organizing a class field trip, or a grandparent seeking wholesome fun with the grandkids, this butterfly farm offers a magical experience. We’ve walked the paths, held the butterflies, and watched the joy on kids’ faces.
