From expert ACT/SAT prep courses and one-on-one academic counseling to personalized college admissions guidance and financial aid planning, local resources are available to help students maximize their potential and navigate the college application process with confidence.
High-quality ACT and SAT tutoring in the Triad helps students improve their test scores and strengthen their college applications. Professional tutors and test prep centers use proven strategies to boost confidence and academic performance. In addition, experienced academic advisors provide individualized guidance on course selection, extracurricular activities, and creating a strong college-ready profile. When it comes to paying for college, the Triad is home to trusted college financial planners who can assist with FAFSA forms, scholarships, grants, and long-term education budgeting. With the right support, students in the Triad are well-prepared to take on their college journey successfully.

*Most high school websites will list local scholarships (things like community foundations, local churches and institutions, and school-sponsored scholarships) and these are often the most accessible.

Description: The T-STEP Program is a FREE, evidence-based college class to help autistic 16-21-year-old students transition to adulthood. T-STEP covers transition skills in the following areas: goal setting, executive function, emotion regulation, professional social skills, self-advocacy, career exploration, and post-secondary exploration. T-STEP involves large and small group instruction, counseling, and work-based learning opportunities. Our in-person program at GTCC is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00 each spring semester. T-STEP also has virtual opportunities each spring, summer, and fall.
