Family Fun on the Fish Dam Creek Trail

We chose to hike the Fish Dam Creek Trail, which also connects to the Yadkin River Greenway and the historic Overmountain Victory Trail. The trail meanders alongside the Yadkin River, offering places to wade, splash, or climb along the rocks. At the end of the trail, you’ll find the backside of the dam, making it a great spot for teaching kids about local history and engineering.

Don’t miss the Kids in Parks Track Trails program. A free initiative that rewards children for getting outside and exploring nature. Be sure to sign up before your visit to make the most of your experience.
