Exciting News: Adaptive Swim Lessons now Available in Winston-Salem!
Salem Gymnastics & Swim is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Adaptive Swim Lessons that began on April 1, 2026. Designed for swimmers of all abilities, this program offers specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of children who may experience anxiety, sensory challenges, physical differences, motor delays, or other obstacles to traditional swim settings.
What makes this program exceptional is that instructors are certified through the Swim Whisperers® Program, giving them the tools and techniques to support each child with patience, understanding, and proven adaptive teaching strategies. Families can choose from individualized or small group instruction that helps build water confidence, safety skills, and a love for swimming in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Salem Gymnastics & Swim is also an approved provider for the North Carolina ESA+ Scholarship Program, meaning families can apply for scholarship funds to be used toward the cost of adaptive swim lessons. The ESA+ program offers flexible funding for students with documented special education needs and can help make adaptive aquatic learning more accessible.
