Lace up, show up, and help save lives! Join Family Services on October 3 as an individual, team, or virtual participant for Walk a Mile Against Domestic Violence. Every step and dollar raised helps provide shelter, safety, and hope while sending a message that domestic violence has no place in our community. Enjoy free food, a kid zone, fundraising prizes, and a family- and dog-friendly one-mile walk. Can’t attend in person? Virtual participants can still fundraise, earn prizes, and make a difference. Bookmarks Festival of Books
The Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors is coming to downtown Winston-Salem
with a FREE all-day festival featuring 50 authors next Saturday, September 26.
Attendees can enjoy author panels, signing opportunities, familyfriendly events, and
more at the Carolinas’ largest annual book festival. There will be tons of kid-friendly
activities including children’s authors, teen authors, the National Geographic Kids’ Area
and even train rides throughout the festival grounds! Start the festival early with a
special ticketed Princess Storytime & Sing-Along featuring Anika Noni Rose on Friday
