One favorite among locals and visitors alike is the NC Blackberry Festival in Lenoir, happening mid-July. This sweet celebration includes a cobbler parade, craft vendors, and a family fun area that little ones will love.

Bethabara Park Hands-On-History-Day Event

Experience life in eighteenth-century Bethabara on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1:30pm until 4:30pm, during the Park’s Hands-on-History Day event.

Join them for a day of interactive fun! Meet eighteenth-century craftsmen, sample food cooked over an open fire, and play Colonial games. Attendees can also enjoy a soap making demonstration, participate in a water relay, explore archaeological ruins and artifacts, and more! Admission is FREE!

Southeast Old Threshers Reunion (Denton)

Mayberry Cool Cars & Rods Cruise-In

The cruise-in takes place on the third Sunday of each month May-October featuring music from WSYD 1300AM, with 50s, 60s, and 70s oldies, and classic cars on both sides of the road. Many businesses in downtown Mount Airy will remain open during the cruise-in. Bring your classic car if you want to participate and arrive early for the best spot on the street! Those with cars should register at the corner of Oak Street and N. Main Street, at the Carlos Jones Blue Ridge Park.
