McLaurin Farms Summer Fun Festival

July 12th starting at 5pm – 10pm
McLaurin Farms has so much fun planned for the entire family for their Summer Fun Festival! Your kids will love all of our activities to keep them occupied as well! Enjoy inflatables, the playground, corn hole, giant bowling and tic-tac-toe, climb their tire mountain, live music and best of all FIREWORKS!!!
Their food truck will be open serving food and adult beverages will be available for purchase as well.
2025 Quarry Park Summer Yoga Series
Third Saturdays at 10 AM | FREE!

Join VYB Studio at The Quarry at Grant Park every third Saturday from June through October for free, all-levels yoga classes. Move, breathe, flow to the beats from our Live DJ, and connect with your community in one of Winston-Salem’s most beautiful parks. Bring a yoga mat or towel, water, and your friends! Kids welcome (they just can’t participate in the class).
Quarry Park Yoga Series is hosted by vyb studio and Winston Salem Parks & Rec. These classes are free to attend, but registration is required through Winston-Salem Parks and Recreation.
Every 3rd Saturday at 10 AM

North Carolina Transportation Museum Fire Truck Festival

Saturday, June 14
9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Join NCTM for the hottest event of the year! You’ll get to meet real firefighters, explore antique & modern fire trucks, get a close-up look at the equipment they use, vote for your favorite fire truck, and have a fun-filled family day at the museum. During your visit, enjoy activities and train rides throughout the day. At the end of the festival, watch the parade which begins at 3:30 p.m.

Firefighter friday with GSO Fire
The Greensboro Fire Department will host its annual Firefighter Friday event on Friday, June 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Barber Park (shelters 4, 5, and 6). This free, family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity for the community to connect with local firefighters while learning about fire safety. Attendees can enjoy free hot dogs and refreshments, explore the Fire Safety Trailer, get an up-close look at fire trucks, and participate in games and activities for all ages. Fire Chief Jim Robinson highlights the event as an important part of community engagement and education, offering residents a fun and informative glimpse into the world of firefighting.
World Promenade at Tanger Botanical Gardens

Celebrate global cultures at the second annual World Promenade, a FREE family-friendly garden event hosted by Greensboro Beautiful in partnership with the City of Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation Department. Held on Saturday, June 1 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden (1105 Hobbs Rd), this vibrant festival highlights Greensboro’s international community with artists, vendors, singers, and performers from around the world. Stroll through globally themed booths, enjoy street food from a variety of cultures, and take part in fun activities for all ages—including a special Worldwide Pooch Parade just for dogs. It’s a lively afternoon of music, culture, and celebration in one of Greensboro’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.
Summer Solstice Festival

The Greensboro Summer Solstice Festival is on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Lindley Park and the Greensboro Arboretum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The festival honors the longest day of the year by bringing together over 5,000 attendees for a vibrant, family-friendly event that celebrates community, creativity, and nature. Festival-goers can enjoy a variety of activities, including a bazaar featuring local artisans and makers, live music and dance performances on two stages, and a mesmerizing fire finale at 9:00 PM . The event also features a drum circle from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and encourages attendees to dress in festive attire, such as faerie wings and glitter, to enhance the magical atmosphere . Admission is $10 for adults and children 13 and over, while children 12 and under are admitted free. Pets are not allowed due to the large crowds and heat.

Outdoor Movies in the Triad
There are several Outdoor Movies in the Triad happening from April to October most are free! Many of these showings have onsite food trucks or concessions, as well. You can also find these movie events listed on our Event Calendar. *Always be sure to call or check their website in advance to confirm there have not been any changes.
Summer Concert Series

Summer is here, and that means it’s time to enjoy the best free summer concert series events happening throughout the Triad! From lively parks to downtown venues, these concerts provide the perfect opportunity to gather your family, soak up the sunshine, and experience fantastic live music. So, dust off your picnic blankets and get ready for a summer filled with music, joy, and unforgettable moments! They are separated by cities.

Summer Safety Fest
Summer Safety Fest, a pediatric safety fair aimed at educating children and families about important safety topics as they head into summer. This event will feature multiple interactive booths, each focusing on a different aspect of safety, such as water safety, sun safety, and first aid. It will be held on Sunday, June 1st from 1pm-4pm at Happy Hill Park. This event is in conjunction with SafeKids, and NC Safe.
