This directory is sponsored by Sylvan Learning. Sylvan creates confident, independent students by targeting the causes of academic frustrations. Sylvan has become the leading provider of tutoring and school support for students of all ages, grades and skill levels.
Whether you have a child in elementary, middle or high school, we know that often times they need a little extra help when it comes to academics. If your child has special needs, be sure to also check out our Special Needs Directory for additional services.
Please note that many of these listings are recommendations from our readers. Be sure do to your homework (no pun intended!) and research these tutors prior to enlisting their services.
Below are two lists: tutoring services where you will find an actual business or venue, and private tutors who may work out of their homes or are available to come to your home. If you have a service or private tutor to add, please email us. This list will always be available to you on our Directories Page.

Subject: Spanish language, Special Spanish immersion program for KIDS, Grammar, Reading, Comprehension, and Writing, conversational. Any level
Description: Hi, my name is Gise. I have been teaching Spanish for the last 7 years. Apart from being a native speaker, I hold a degree in Spanish Literature and Education and have given private lessons online to students from all over the world. I enjoy meeting with different people and always find it interesting to learn about other cultures and lifestyles.
Since I was born in Central Mexico, I speak with a neutral accent and follow a communicative teaching approach, encouraging my students to interact in real-life situations and improvise on the fly. I create a bond with my students and promote confidence, so they are not afraid of making mistakes and brainstorm new ideas and thoughts. Creating a stress-free environment allows my students to be more positive and happier, which improves their productivity and as a result, communication. I can’t wait to get started 🙂
