Tips for visiting Ebenezer Park

Arrive early to grab a good parking spot, especially on weekends. The park may close its gates to vehicle, walk-in, and bicycle entry once it reaches capacity. While entry is never guaranteed, visitors coming from the Triad may want to arrive by 10 a.m. for the best chance of getting in, as crowds tend to pick up closer to lunchtime.

Beach shoes are recommended for swimming due to the clay-like lake bottom near the shoreline and the presence of sharp rocks in some areas. Although the water is typically calm, wearing a life vest is still a good idea. There is no lifeguard on duty, and the water can be very murky, making it difficult to see below the surface.
