Bog Garden Parking

There are a few parking options. You can park for free at Tanger Bicentennial Gardens parking lot and walk across the street. Another closer option is street parking along Starmount Farms Drive, close to the Hobbs Road intersection.

Bog Garden Hours

The Garden welcomes visitors year-round, opening daily at 8 a.m., weather permitting. Closing times vary seasonally:

  • January, February, November, December: Closes at 5 p.m.
  • March, April, September, October: Closes at 7 p.m.
  • May through August: Closes at 8 p.m.

The garden is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. These hours allow families to plan visits that fit into their schedules, whether it’s a morning stroll or an afternoon exploration.

History of the Garden

Originally part of Starmount Farms, the land was donated to the city in 1987 by the Starmount Company.
