2019 Triad Area Summer Camps

Summer Camp registration is already underway, and our list features a variety of summer camp options from all over the Triad. You can search by city, and then by category within each city. Categories include arts, sports, general, overnight, special needs, preschool, and more. Many camps can fit into more than one category, so if you are searching for a camp for your four-year-old, you can always search beyond the preschool listings. There are also many camp options for teens and tweens as well as counselor options! We also note which camps offer “full time options” which means you have the option of dropping your camper early or picking him up later, especially if you are a working parent. 20 Places to Take Your Teen This Summer

If your teen is a typical teen, most of their summer will be spent playing summer sports, hanging at the pool, working/babysitting, and sleeping in. While these are all great ways for them to enjoy their summer, the bad news is that none of those items involve spending time with their parents! So, we consulted with local teens to help create a list for other local teens! CLICK HERE to go directly to this directory!

Splash Parks & Water Slides

Splash parks and spray grounds have literally sprung up all over the Triad, and more are being planned! This year, we noted all the parks that are completely free to attend. Others charge admission, and some charge a fee for large groups. Details on each venue can be found on the respective park’s web site which is linked in each listing. Vacation Bible Schools

Vacation Bible Schools in the Triad teach fellowship and important life messages – all through fun games, crafts, music, and story telling. Most VBS weeks in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point and surrounding areas are staffed by volunteers, which is why many are free of charge (along with a requested donation). Some programs have not yet confirmed their 2019 information with us, but we are updating our list as quickly as information becomes available. CLICK HERE to go directly to this directory!

Full Time Summer Care Options

Finding child care in the summer months can be a daunting – and sometimes an expensive – task. Some mothers have found it easiest to break up the summer into weeks and use different child care each week to keep things exciting. (But keep in mind that you may need to pay a registration fee for each option.) Others like to choose one option for the entire summer. There really is no easy answer or formula, however, sometimes the best ideas come from thinking out of the box. CLICK HERE to go directly to this directory!
