Description: Greensboro Youth Chorus is dedicated to helping students develop their musical talents, nurturing their love for music, and creating a strong sense of community through the joy of singing together. GYC provides a supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and express themselves as talented musicians, amazing performers, and exceptional individuals. GYC has three choirs for grades K-12. Weekly rehearsals culminate in concerts at the end of each semester along with many community and festival performance opportunities. Description: Winston-Salem Choral Academy (WSCA), formerly known as the Winston-Salem Girls Chorus, is a community organization of auditioned young singers from Winston-Salem and surrounding areas, established in 1999. A partner with the Music & Arts Ministries of Centenary United Methodist Church, WSCA’s mission is to offer a joyful and empowering experience for children and youth through vocal music education and artistic excellence in choral music performance. The chorus serves four levels of girl singers from Kindergarten – 12th grades: UPBEAT!, Lyrica, and Encore, directed by Anne M. Saxon and assisted by Suzanne Maggs, & Emily AsKew, and a new boy’s choir “Sforzando,” directed by Brandon Winbush.
