The park is an indoor/outdoor facility with 10,000 sq. ft. of skating surface.  There is an indoor viewing area with bleachers, concessions area, lockers, restrooms, a party room. Helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads are required. Info: Open dawn to dusk. This skatepark is equipped for skate boards, bikes, inline skates, and scooters. Glenwood Skate Spot is in the Glenwood Recreation Center. This 4,000-square-feet skate park features a variety of pole jams, rails, quarter pipes, and a bank wall. The park’s layout caters to both beginners and experienced skaters, making it an ideal spot for family outings. Plus, its location near other recreational facilities means there’s plenty to do if you need a break from skating.

Info: The City of King operates an active recreation park known as Recreation Acres at the intersection of West Dalton Road and White Road. A 4,000 sq ft. skate park to the southeastern side of the park. There is no vehicle access through the middle of the park. It features a vert wall, rails, boxes, pyramid, and more. Free Admission. 

Lexington

The Premier Skate/BMX Park

Info: 20,000 sq. ft. park is primarily a street course full of fun transitions and street textures. There are 6 different types of handrails and flat rails throughout the park, and a variety of hips and ledges. The park also boasts a 10-foot deep pro bowl. One unique feature is the brick quarterpipe, which is made entirely of bricks from the Lexington Home Brands factory fire. Skateboards, freestyle bikes, inline skates, and non-electric scooters are all welcome at the Lexington Skate Park. The park is open every day from 8:00am – 10:00pm, and is FREE.

 

Winston Salem

Info: Open 9:00 a.m. until dusk, the Winston Salem Skate Park boasts over 15,000 square feet of amps, quarter pipes, grinding rails, bank ramps and more. The park also has a 325-foot-long “pump” track. This small track consists of of dips and banks to helps riders master the basics of how to balance and handle their bikes, skateboards and roller skates.
