Are you searching for a quality child care center? An in-home or family child care environment? A full-time or part-time nanny? Do you need part-time care? First, second, or third shift care? After-school care? Summer camp opportunities? There are so many choices, and finding a quality child care or early learning environment for your child can be overwhelming and time consuming.

That’s exactly where Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) comes in. CCRC is a local, non-profit child care resource and referral agency serving Winston-Salem and the surrounding region. CCRC connects families to quality child care, provides professional development opportunities to child care providers, and educates the community about the link between quality child care and early learning experiences and school preparedness.

Child Care Resource Center is home to one of the largest databases of child care programs in the region, with over 700 child care options on file, and offers a combination of free and fee-based services, including a nanny search service, to suit the needs of all families.

Child Care Program Search (Free)

CCRC provides the tools you need to make the best decision about child care for your child and your family. In consultation with a CCRC Parent Specialist, you’ll learn about indicators of quality to look for as you visit potential child care programs. You’ll also receive a Parent Tool Kit that provides a list of questions to ask each child care provider to learn more about their program and how they’ll care for your child, along with information about North Carolina’s quality rating system for child care programs and how that system connects to the quality of care your child will receive.

Nanny Search Service (Fee-Based)

CCRC’s Silver Service includes a consultation with a CCRC child care expert about available child care options, including the pros and cons of hiring a nanny, a copy of “A Family’s Guide to Hiring a Nanny,” advertising on various sites for a nanny that meets your family’s specific needs, screening of all applicants responding to the ad, gathering information from applicants using CCRC’s Nanny Application and Information Sheet, and a review of applicant information and written materials to use during your interview process.

The Gold Service includes all the benefits of the Silver Service, plus in-person interviews of three prospective applicants of your choosing conducted by a CCRC child care expert, a background check on the final applicant, a review of initial interviews so you can make a final decision, and three child development classes for the nanny you employ, including First Aid/CPR.
