Stop by the Miriam P. Brenner Children’s Museum for Jerry Hyman Day – a day of community service, play, and accessibility on January 2! Play is just $2 all day long! The morning will be jam-packed with the Cone Health Mobile Screening Unit, available for free screenings from 9a-1p. The Guilford Basics will hand out free books, and the Guilford County Partnership for Children will offer resources for your child’s specific age from 10a-noon. At the same time, help us pack snack bags for the basic needs’ nonprofit, Backpack Beginnings! Before you leave, add your 2025 wish to our Wishing Wall!

When “’Tis the season” becomes “’Twas the season,” it’s time to take down those festive Christmas decorations and tuck them safely away for another year. (I know – this part isn’t nearly as much fun as getting them out and making your house all Christmas-y and warm and inviting!) However, one thing that makes this task marginally more palatable is having a good system for packing up and storing your decorations, knowing they’ll be totally intact when you get them out again next year.
